March TBR

This month I’ll try to focus on books that are related to what I’m writing for my assessments as well as including some books I’ve been looking forward to read. Keep in mind half of the books in this list will most likely not be read this month as I will prioritise the ones I’ve mentioned before. I like to have options that can suit my reading mood at the time I’m picking a book.

  • Noughts & Crosses by Malorie Blackman
  • Lord of the Flies by William Golding
  • The Sacred Lies of Minnow Bly by Stephanie Oakes
  • 1984 by George Orwell
  • The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
  • Children of the Corn by Stephen King
  • Seed by Lisa Heathfield
  • Unrequited Alice by Sarah Louise Smith
  • Optimists Die First by Susin Nielsen
  • Royally Roma by Teri Wilson
  • King’s Cage by Victoria Aveyard
  • Caraval by Stephanie Garber
  • By Your Side by Kasie West
  • Frostblood by Elly Blake
  • Long May She Reign by Rhiannon Thomas

Happy reading everyone!

February Wrap-Up

This is a very hard month to keep my blog updated and I’m afraid March will be even worse. My university ends on the first week of April and two of my assessments are due that same week. Although I’ve been reading as much as I can, I wish I had had more time to get through my TBR of the month. Anyway, here are the books I managed to read. Some of them have reviews but most don’t as I didn’t have time to typed them up yet.

  • Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi
  • Heretics by Steven Nadler & Ben Nadler
  • The Castoffs Vol 1 by MK Reed & Brian Smith & Molly Ostertag
  • Wonder Woman Vol 1: The Lies (Rebirth) by Greg Rucka & Liam Sharp
  • The Backstagers Vol 1 by James Tynion IV
  • Ariadnis by Josh Martin
  • We Come Apart by Sarah Crossan & Brian Conaghan
  • The Edge of Everything by Jeff Giles

Favourite Book of the Month: Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi

February will be mostly about Netgalley books. I’ve requested a crazy amount of books which I want to dedicate most of this month to. I will still have to read short stories for class and I will add a couple of books that I own too. I just hope I can do all this in the shortest month of the year… Which is unlikely so keep in mind that I might not read them all.

  • Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi
  • Wayfarer by Alexandra Bracken
  • Ariadnis by Josh Martin
  • Heretics by Steven Nadler & Ben Nadler
  • We Come Apart by Sarah Crossan & Brian Conaghan
  • The Edge of Everything by Jeff Giles
  • Caraval by Stephanie Garber
  • Bizenghast Volume 1 by M. Alice LeGrow
  • Fall of the Dragon Prince by Dan Allen

Happy Reading!

January Wrap-Up

University is back and with it comes work, a lot of writing and some school reading. I read Dread for a class as well as some other short stories. I managed to read three Netgalley books, which is great. I had planned on reading more Netgalley books so I’ll continue to do so in the next months. January was a really good month. Here are the books I read, you can find reviews of some of them in the blog.

  • Heartless by Marissa Meyer
  • Crystal Storm by Morgan Rhodes
  • Dread by Clive Barker
  • Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake
  • A-Force Volume 0 by G. Willow Wilson, Marguerite Bennett and Jorge Molina
  • A-Force Volume 1 by G. Willow Wilson, Kelly Thompson and Jorge Molina
  • Gilded Cage by Vic James
  • Mer by Joelle Sellner
  • Martians Abroad by Carrie Vaughn

Favourite book of the month: Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake

January TBR

These are mostly for reference. Now that the semester started I might only be able to read one book per week, if that much. These are the ones I’d like to read next, however, I might choose to read a book that is not on the list, either for a class or for pleasure.

  • Heartless by Marissa Meyer
  • Crystal Storm by Morgan Rhodes
  • Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare
  • Turbulence by Samit Basu
  • Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake
  • The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson
  • Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi
  • Gilded Cage by Vic James

Happy reading everyone!

December Wrap-Up

I absolutely love graphic novels and comics, hence having read 3 just last month. Two of them were part of my research, as well as Push. I decided to read at least one of the books kindly provided by publishers through Netgalley. I’ll read at least one Netgalley book per month from now on. Overall, December was a good month, I can’t say there was any book I truly disliked so that’s great.

  • Push by Sapphire
  • A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
  • The Leeper and the Spindle by Neil Gaiman and Chris Riddell
  • The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
  • The Unbelievable Gwenpool by Hastings, Gurihiru, Beyruth and Bonvillain
  • Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur by Reeder, Montclare, Bustos
  • The Blue Moon Narhtex by N.J. Donner

Favourite book of the month: The Hating Game

November Wrap-Up

On this month it was particularly hard to make time to read. I have assessments due December 7 and I had to make sure they were done and ready to workshop at least a week before the deadline. Nevertheless, I read some and I’m proud I managed to do it in such a hard month. I’ve also reviewed all of them but the one I finished two days ago, so I’ll link them to their reviews.
